Welcome to Unscroll. By downloading, installing, or using the Unscroll mobile application (the "App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use ("Terms"). If you do not agree, do not use the App.
1. Acceptance of Terms
By creating an account or using the App, you confirm that you are at least 13 years of age and agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy (available at https://www.startunscroll.com/privacy).
2. Description of Service
Unscroll is a productivity app that helps you earn screen time through physical exercise. The App uses your device camera and Apple's Vision framework to track exercises, and Apple's Screen Time APIs to manage app access on your device. All camera processing and Screen Time management occur locally on your device.
3. Account Registration
You may sign in using Sign in with Apple. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account and for all activity that occurs under it. You agree to provide accurate information and to update it as needed.
4. Subscriptions & Payments
Unscroll may offer premium features through auto-renewable subscriptions managed by Apple. By purchasing a subscription:
Payment is charged to your Apple ID account at confirmation of purchase.
Your subscription automatically renews unless you turn off auto-renewal at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period.
You can manage or cancel subscriptions in your device's Settings > Apple ID > Subscriptions.
Refunds are handled by Apple in accordance with their refund policies.
Prices may vary by region and are subject to change with notice.
5. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
Use the App for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable laws.
Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the App.
Interfere with or disrupt the App's functionality or servers.
Impersonate another person or misrepresent your identity.
Use automated systems or bots to interact with the App.
Exploit social features (leaderboards, friend systems) through fraudulent activity.
6. Social Features
The App includes social features such as friend leaderboards and invite codes. When you participate, your username, avatar emoji, XP, streak count, and set count may be visible to your friends. You are responsible for any content you share through social features.
7. Intellectual Property
All content, design, graphics, logos, and software associated with Unscroll are the property of Hauer Studios and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the App for personal, non-commercial purposes.
8. Screen Time & Device Permissions
The App uses Apple's FamilyControls, ManagedSettings, and DeviceActivity frameworks to manage app blocking on your device. By granting these permissions, you authorize the App to restrict and allow access to selected apps based on your earned screen time. You may revoke these permissions at any time through your device's Settings.
9. Camera Usage
The App uses your device camera solely for real-time exercise pose detection. No camera footage, images, or body pose data is recorded, stored, or transmitted. Camera access can be revoked at any time through your device's Settings.
10. Disclaimer of Warranties
The App is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components. Exercise tracking is for informational purposes only and should not be considered medical or fitness advice. Consult a healthcare professional before beginning any exercise program.
11. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Unscroll and Hauer Studios shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of data, personal injury, or loss of profits, arising from your use of the App.
12. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Unscroll, Hauer Studios, and their officers, directors, and employees from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your use of the App or violation of these Terms.
13. Termination
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to the App at any time, with or without cause or notice. Upon termination, your right to use the App ceases immediately. You may delete your account at any time through the App's settings.
14. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the updated Terms within the App. Your continued use of the App after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
15. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction in which Hauer Studios operates, without regard to conflict of law principles.
